Fish Compatibility A peaceful fish , and can be kept with other tangs that are not agressive, also they can be kept with smaller more peaceful fishes eg chromis anthias wrasses. They are know some times to become agressive to other tangs. Habitat/Depth Range The Naso Tang likes lots of open swimming space and shady hiding places if frightened. Also they are found in outer reef slopes and lagoons at a deapth of anything from 5 meters to 70 meters. Life Span Up to 20 years Reef Safe Yes reef safe , they do not harm corals, but can harm inverts. Care Level (Easy, Moderate, Difficult) moderate to difficult "Depending on various things ,such as water quality ,reef enviroment, other fish, and food" Tank Size At least a 100 gallon minium Conclusion and Comments Naso Tangs are very attractive fish, they like to graze over the live rock. Many people have kept this fish with great success , while other seem to have no luck,i think the hardest thing keeping one of these fish it to get it eating a good diet ,if you can do that you should have success, and they are prone to ich "like most tangs" Similar Species Naso elegans "Blonde Naso Tang" |
