Default Montipora

Is the care for Montipora the same regardless of the color? I guess this question could apply to other corals as well. That is to say is an X-colored acropora still an acropora? Color doesnt effect care or requirements?

I think that montis are the same across the board. They are very forgiving corals. I have a couple that I've almost killed and they are back doing good again.

The plating Capricornis variety is pretty much the same, except for growth rates. Certain ones like the lime green one require more Intense lighting to bring out the bright green otherwise they'll grow fine, they'll just be more of a brown green.

to get the best color, each will require something a little different....

- but, they can work together, play together, grow together, and pretty much have a long happy life together as a married couple mwahahaha hehehe

So if i want greenies put them up top. Place the reds in the middle and the blues at the bottom. I mean why buy rock, when I can grab a few magnets and epoxy and let nature build my rocks.

I dont think color has anything to do with lighting intensity needs. You have to look at where the corals are found in the wild to figure out how much light species-x will need and even then its still a guessing game.
