More Montipora Growth shots
Some more growth shots... Superman, and orange setosa, from a fellow member...Thanks John (Houndsbayman)
The super was pretty slow at first, but i think that was mainly because of the tank maturing, and my learning curve on how to maintain params... Now that i finally got new bulbs, more importantly bulbs of the right color spectrums, i'm hoping for more....not to mention the new bulbs almost doubled my Par! End of May 10' when i got it....  here's a shot from 2 months ago....  Here's now....  Here's the setosa beginning of Oct 10'.....  And now......

WOO HOO!!!! that's really great growth for slow growers john! and it looks like the colors are popping even more now too with the new lights!
 way to go! I just love growth shots too..........got anymore to share with us?!

The bulbs just might do it. Im looking into potassium myself, thats supposed to help thing color up.

I also read that potassium was a (relative to the age of the earth) newer element in higher concentrations that didn't exist some 500,000 years ago and the reefs were vibrant and huge back then. I read a few articles on it but didn't go into it too deep, just enough to find out you have plenty in your salt mix and its not depleted fast enough to supplement. HTH |

Id like to see what you read. All the recent salt mix tests ive seen shows potassium levels 100ppm or more lower then NSW levels.
