I just went 2 days w/out any real light on the tank as I was setting up a new t5 system and now that the lights are on I noticed a brownish ten to my monti. Will he recover?

It is a nice show piece that is at the near the top of the tank.I thought maybe w/ the lights being out for 2 days and the new lights on that maybe the monti was having trouble. I'm hoping not as it is one of my favorites

Should be just fine - I've shut my lights off for 5-6 days at time to kill cyano outbreaks - all the corals always bounce back in a day or two

I should also add that it could be browning out from acclimating to your new lighting - if its brighter than before, you may want to run a shorter than normal light cycle for a few days or add some screen over your tank to "warm them up" to your new system

yes......it should be just fine jim!
though it will take some time to acclimate to new lights and may go thru a few more "not so pretty" phases - - it should still bounce back for you as long as you maintain proper water levels.

I agree, should come back fine. Just be sure not to give it too much light too fast. Those new T5's will be a light stronger then you think.
