I'm at a loss on this one. It kids of has a leather coral shape to it but anthilia looking polyps.

The "pillars" - are they soft or is it a mat of something growing over a rock structure?

You guys and gals are geniuses!!!
I googled Alcyonium sp. and yup it's a Colt coral. I forget who I got it from but I put it in the tank last April or May after I got my Sea Horses.
