New cleaner shrimp - Reef-Geeks

I got a new cleaner shrimp from Coralmorphologic along with some new rics posted in the ricordea valley thread....But here the shrimp took up residence in my elegance coral, instead of where I wanted him(ricordea valley)

Periclimenes yucatanicus also called a Spotted cleaner shrimp is the species it is a Caribbean morph....I got it for $15 Skins from Coralmorphologic......He's really cool it sways back inforth like it is in a strong current.

That is the typical residence for them in the wild. They will really take up residence in about anything that has tentacles. I figured it would end up in my Pagoda cup coral but it has been in the elegance for 2 days now and has move deeper into the mass of tentacles.....There is a possible new species that is ricordea specific but they haven't collected any of them for sale only research right now so it looks like I will have to wait for one of those.

The only concern I had was my Redhead Pseudochromis but he has left it alone and now that it is in the elegance I don't have a worry. This thing is as sticky as any carpet I have ever dealt with, I mean you almost have to rip the tentacles off if it touches you....

This one is a cleaner it will clean but my fish haven't bothered, I also have a fire shrimp that cleans but the fish haven't bothered with him either. For some reason it moved back to my ricordea today. Not sure if the big female Clownfish was harassing it or not. She goes back and forth between my Pagoda cup and elegance. I will try and get a video of it some time here....I have watched it clean itself though.
