First off i have a 55g tank and 3 coral frags and a moderatly small goniopora. The frags are zoas and two different star polyps. My first question is with light; i have a 4 bulb aquatic life t5ho with 3 acitinic bulbs and 1 10000k white bulb. I have been having problems getting the goniopora to open all the way up and was thinking mayb too much light because it seems to open up more when i just gave the blue acitinic light on and when the white comes on it closes up tight. This however brings me to my next question in hiw much i should feed these guys. I recently started with marine snow every other day but havent been doing that enough to see any real results for my goni.
Any ideas? I dont know my water parameters all my test kits are junk and havent bought new yet. |

Anothing thing with them is flow. Do you have them in indirect, direct, or just barely any flow?

that'll help us alot...I'd also be sure to put the marine snow in the tank when the goni is open, just to be sure it is getting some Cyclopeeze is also a great supplement my LPS love

Tank is a standard 55 i believe 18 inches tall. I stuck eith the 2 blue n 2 white for awhile but i like the bluer shade i get from 3 blue bulbs.
I do try to add my marine snow when its open even if its just a little bit. The flow i try to keep it random but i have been experimenting with different spots in the tank to see where it will be happiest but that hasnt seemed to have much effect. |
