Very cool.. thanks for sharing.

I was SO happy to see it make it back to the water... interesting it would of even left the water but it's probable use to climbing over rocks near shore to enter tide-pools to feed and oops... no more water over here!

Glad it's back where it belongs!

I was glad to see it find its way back, too! My theory is that it was trying to get that nasty crab off it, so it went out of water to do so. That was one big freakin' crab, too! Whatever the reason, it was pretty nifty to see

I would love to see an octo do that. They are so awesome in person.

way long ago in the 70's i had a 4" octo in my basement tank. one day i heard some strange rustling, like cellophane. the little guy had crawled across my basement floor, up the stairs and into the kitchen. put him back, he inked, but didn't live too long afterwards. back then, it coulda been many reasons for it to die, but the experience f seeing it in the kitchen was amazing.

I think I would probably have freaked out to see my octo in my kitchen, having bad horror movie type flashes going through my head :P

I don't remember if it was on this forum or not, but a while ago I had read about another member who'd had an octo in a tank when he was living in off-campus housing during his college years. His roommate also had a saltwater tank, but his was a FOWLR. He had told us he had woken up one night to the sounds of a lot of splashing and when he walked out to the room with the tanks, he saw his octo out of its tank and trying to get the fish in the FOWLR tank I guess it was hungry
