Grumpy Bass · $20,000 later....

Purchased a few frags at a swap a couple of weeks ago and today noticed that a little Purple Chalice was gone, I looked all over the place and it was nowhere to be found, compely stumpped.

I sit down tonight after working for a while and my wife was staring at the tank and said "look at the urchine, he picked up a hitchhiker!". Thought it was worth a picture to share. Guess I better get some of that underwater glue! Safely recovered the stolen coral.

I also found someone who likes the Diatoms growing in the sand.. Ms. Lightfoot!

LOL I have a pic kind of like that, mine was carrying a hose fitting that I dropped behind the rocks.

You will want to toss the lightoot though they will in time start to eat fish and coral....I know they are reported to be good ones but when they get bigger they change their feeding habits.

Thats why I got rid of my beutifull purple one. I was constantly fishing frags off it.

My urchins will carry around all kinds of stuff. I would never get rid of my urchins, they are the best clean up crews

Yes definitely! Those urchins are good urchins! ...we like ours! but it's so funny to see the different items they carry around...last week one was carrying a live frag from our hammer that fell off!

billrob71... I too have lost a Redordea behind / under the rocks... I feel your pain!

Skinz78... Hopefully these purple spiney ones they will stay "good ones".

Chris&barb.. I plan on keeping mine, not only are the great cleanup crew (along with six (6) Turbo Snails), I really get a kick out of how the pick everything up and cary it around, pretty funny I think.

Azurel... I hope Ms. Lightfoot does not turn bad, I like having her around too, really fast and fun to watch. I'll keep an eye on her as she grows up (actually have no clue if it's M/F).

Barbara... I agree, that's what started all this! Tonight one of them has a white tube that I have no idea where it came from, would not give it up either so I'll let it carry it around.
