I often wonder what the general consensus is on how often you feel you need to clean your skimmer collection cup?

mine is supposed to be cleaned every 3-4 days but I just incorporate it with my weekly maintenance which I usually procrastinate about until about 10 days have passed. By then the skimmate is good and smelly and I don't have much of a choice, if I want to be near the tank I need to empty it

Oh and my skimmer does work better if I clean it more often, it builds up lots of gack on the neck and doesn't seem to skim as well unless its fairly clean.

I do it when the skimmer neck looks dirty, I think mine works a lot better when it is clean.
