my 180 Reef - Reef-Geeks

Hi My name is Aaron and I am a reefaholic
I started this hobby for the second time in my life I started with a couple 10 gallons that where given to me. well a month later I had moved up to a 29 gallon an few months after that I got a deal on a 75 that had been set up for a few years well need less to say I bought it and on a 3 below 0 day snowing to beat hell. Me and my Best friend Steve headed on a 65 mile one way drive to get this tank full of live stock. We moved al the fish in buckets and ran heaters to each bucket off of a power inverter we put all the rock in rubber maids and then we set the 75 gallon tank in the extended cab of a dodge 4x4 truck. and we headed home with the stand in tow on the trailer we made it home setup that setup without any losses.
Well a few months later I again got a deal on a 120 so I got it all setup and plumbed in to my reef system I had in the mean time gotten a 100 gallon rubbermaid I was using as a sump system.
I grew coral for about a year this way and then I ran into another great deal on my 180 I set it up and tore down the 75 placing everything from the 75 into the 180 then I had so much room I just started buying till I had it filled with all types of corals I have lost a lot of sps in these trials and errors I now only have 2 pieces of this and its inn a 20 x 20 by 6 inch tall look down tank on my bar. My 180 is now a softie and anemone tank. with around 50 bubble tips and numerous leathers I am currently battling a majano problem but that will soon be taken care of I really dont have very many fish I will add to my thread about fish and other stuff later.

I will post some pictures when I am caught up on homework I have been real sick all weekend and my reef is really dirty. I do have good news my blue star leapord wrasse that I thought was MIA has popped up again I am so Happy its my favorite fish and I was really down after I injured it by accident trying to catch the Satans spawn damsel that escaped out of a net I had sitting across the edge of my tank. the bad fish are now back to the sump and I have to catch my tanks out of the sump and return them to the main tank. To make a monti cap like that just take and glue 2 together next or next to each other on a rock they will do all sorts of neat things.

I am working on making my 180 a all anemone tank one of these days and I would like to have about 30 black and white clowns in it.

Holy Moly Aaron!

I never saw a tank with so many anemones! And they don't sting each other? How's that happen? They're beautiful! and I agree about the monti...wouldn't think you could glue 2 together but it looks great! how long have you had the nems? nice job
