NPS forum?

To the Admin(s): I really enjoy NPS(Non-PhotoSynthetic corals) and Azoox(azooxanthellate corals) forums. And I was wondering if it is possible to add one to the coral sub-forum (Coral-Geeks Forums - Reef-Geeks) ? Plus, I would hope to be able to add to a NPS forum in the future.

To others: Agree? or Disagree?

Dont know if it's a hard thing to do to make this change, but I agree w/ Meus. It seems on most websites that sell coral, the non-photosynthetic's get their own page if the sight is divided by coral type. Good idea! Heading could be-(Cause some Geeks go to extremes to save money on lighting) or (Corals for Geeks who work 3rd shift) etc.

hehehehe - we need some good threads to put into that forum category too though! an empty forum without good reference threads is worth hehe

Meus - Variko - have you read any good NPS threads lately?? or brave enough to start one?? (cuz obviously I'm not )

I offer no advice, I havent had a reef tank up and running for a few years, so my opinion is worthless. Id love to ASK questions about nonphoto's though, so I have that going for me.

I've been through a few. I might be able to do a page of links or something.

On another hand, the one liner in the heading could be-
"When geeks go to the darkside of reefing"

Which isn't entirely my idea. I got it from the motto of a NPS only forum. It says "welcome to the darkside of reefkeeping" on there. But still, the Star Wars reference was hard to resist.

I dont have a problem setting up a NPS forum but like Joanne said we need something to put in it. I would rather have some original threads rather then a thread with a bunch of links to somewhere else.

If you feel like writing up some basic info threads go for it. Do it in what ever forum you want and when your done report the thread and then ill build the forum and move the threads over.

Yeah, I caught a nasty virus a week ago and had to wipe my hard drive(yes I have back-ups, but no recent ones ). I remember most of what I had, I'm just double checking and school has quickly began picking up momentum(honestly I've been procrastinating a bit too). Hopefully I will be done soon, however.

If anyone else would like to do a write up feel free. Between school and my computers its taking me forever to type this. There is a lot of information to be told. Plus, my first laptop is dead, my desktop is under maintenance and my second laptop has the worst keyboard ever. And my network drive caught fire :/ . I'm still working to get this thing done, but I would like to see the NPS board go up sooner than I can get this thing written.

Not literally, but I was running too many programs(namely Skyrim), and moving too many files at the same time so things got corrupted. It probably doesn't help when I spastically shake my cursor around the screen in frustration either.

I think I may just focus in on a particular aspect instead of trying to get a bit of everything with a lot of everything. I like food. Plus, with midterms/semester finals over I should have a bit more time.

Anything you want to work on would be great. You can always build from there

I am a Newbie to NPS myself. Have had a Fat Head for a few months, but I think they are as easy as an airplant to keep. Good eaters- and the one I have has split 3 pups at the base now! Just got a couple Yellow Finger Gorgs to go in there and am now beginning the battle between enough food and decent water parameters. I am a WAY lowtechgal though, so I usually do not use skimmers & such. May have to break out 1 in order to keep up with this type of tank though!

I want to see how well they do before I get any of the REALLY cool stuff.

What kinds of food have you been adding and how often?
