Here are a few pics I took with a magnifier on my computer. First is a very small snail. they show up all the time in my rock. They are white. These all came out of my sump sock. The last is a pod. I'm just not sure on the actual name. Some of you are really good at naming things.

Here they are swarming an asterina star, or eating it. Anyone know if they eat them?

The tiny snail looks like a cerith, though there also appears to be a small white "snout" (unless that's a scratch on the glass). If there *is* a snout, it is a nassarius snail. If there is not, then is it definitely a cerith snail

Great algae grazers!

The pods look like amphipods to me, but there are soooooo many different kinds I may very well be wrong!

I was just thinking I have quite a few of the dwarf ceriths. I bet that's what it is.

I would bet you are right! I have a dwarf cerith that looks identical to the one pictured - only difference is that mine's shell is black.

I tried to look up the various amphipods that end up in reef tanks. The list is in the 1000's of species.

Im glad there are 1000's. Keep the stupid taxonomists busy so they stop renaming already named and classified creatures.

This snails look like common (beneficial) rhizoids to me. Great pic btw!
And no anonymize don't eat asterinas, however they do eat some of the same things- in that case the algae that grows on the glass. Your pods think they are hiding.

I do have algae growing on my glass and yes they think they are hiding. I'll try to get some pics of that some time soon.

ok here's something I haven't seen before, or at least haven't noticed. There are probably 100 or so on my glass, but just on one side. Here you go.

They are a flat worm and there is a name for them sorry can't remember what it is though.

I just went through hundreds of flatworms and didn't see any that have that shape on the end. They are usually round, not half oval.

They are definitely flatworms. They look like Amphiscolops sp. except the color is a little on the brown side, could just be lighting. They are probably harmless, most are.

There are so many species of flat worms but they resemble some that I had and was told they were harmless. Flat worm exit will make short work of them if your conserned but I dont think you need to worry about them.
