I've got that tunze too - and have been thru 1 pump already - I blame sand and my inability to clean things in a timely manner!! haha

Well I've found that Aqua Medic Turbo Flotor 500 on sewatec posted to me for $150 AUS. So that is a very good price I would say. Will see what the LFS can do for me though. I've got a dymax 9002 copy in my sump as well at the moment helping the tunze out and its actually outperforming the tunze at the moment haha.

wierd - aqua medic doesnt even say what sized tank that one is rated for ... how lame!!!

another website says 65 US gallons - which i'd cut in half, so 30 US gallons is all I'd guess it could handle, well....

My tunze has started to work so we will see how that goes for now.
I found this on ebay and was wondering if any one has ever tried it, or has any thoughts on it. I don't expect it to be anything amazing, I'm not a complete idiot :P But what I was wondering was whether it would be powerful enough to suck it fish flakes that sit on the bottom of my sump? I can't syphon the food out because the sump sits on the floor, and I can't get to a lower point...what do we think??
