Hi i am new on here looks like a great fourm.I am mad about seahorses corals and marine fish.Is there anyone else breeding seahorses on the fourm .

Hi i am breeding erectus dwarfs and kuda.Have bred reidi pottbellys and H capensis as well.

How about sharing some photos of your horses and the tanks you keep them in

Hi yes sure.Heres some erectus and some dwarf seahorses.

They look great and so tiny. That last one is beautiful!!

I liked the H capensis the best they are totaly different than any other seahorse they snake along the bottom of the tank instead of swimming around.These are now on the red list and you cant get them any more.

Very cool. Even though they are on the red list, since you're breeding them are you allowed to sell them?

I have not bred the capensis for about five years would love to have some more but you cant get them now.

Seahorse. glad to meet you. I am going to be attempting some seahorse breeding as soon as I can get a mate for my erectus. BTW I love your seahorses thanks for sharing the pics with us.

Not exactly sure. I only want to get a captive bred seahorse so I don't have to worry about weaning them off of live food and can just feed the frozen food. The three places that I am aware of that stocks them currently does not have any in stock.

Have you contacted Dan or Beth to sea if they have any.

I dont know who they are or how to contact them. I have tried contacting pekas ponies and foster and smith. those two internet dealers and my LFS are the only places I know of to get captive bred seahorses

Hi Dan underwood at seahorse source and Beth at seahorse corral both have great stock.
