Which salt do you folks recommend and why?

Chris is right. Usually the cheapest, however for some reason I use reef crystals or instant ocean. Those are the only two I've ever tried and I have no scientific basis on my decision lol

UH OH! you opened the flood gates with this question. HAHA just kidding. I currently used Instant Ocean because that is the best brand that my LFS carries. I have been wanting to order the Salinity by aquavitro since they have batch specific readings on all of their containers for all parameters. If any one has used this I would love to know how it does and if it is really any better than the other major salt brands.

Do you guys have the D&D H2O salt over there ? Its the best selling sea salt over here. I must have used every brand under the sun at one time or another and i cant really see any difference in any of them. I now just buy whatever is the cheapest

Ive used a bunch of brands too and havent seen any difference. Im just finishing up a bucket of RC and have two buckets of IO waiting in the wings.

whatever you pick, pick something that is easy to find at your local stores - you never know when you will have a salt emergency, and need to do a massive water change, and you'll be doing a fire run to the closest store to save your livestock!
