So I haven't been on here a whole lot lately,(SORRY) this is one of my fav forums. Thought I would update the little girls tank thread.

We ended up using an aqua clear 70 for her filtration, which I stick a bunch of macro algae and a bag of carbon into. That w/ 30lbs of LR seems to be doing the trick.

She got the tank and a 175 watt MH for x-mass and here it is all set up.

We didn't like the 10K bulb that the light came w/, so we changed it for a 14K which is much better.
Here is the new bulb and a few corals we added that have been in my tank waiting on the cycle to finish.

You all would be very proud of her, she has learned to test for amnesia and nitrates. I gave her a timer to use for the testing and she is very excited about all the aspects of reefing. Although patients is hard for her and she thinks she is ready for sps corals. I'm making her wait till I get a new skimmer and set her up w/ my old 1.

So I went ahead and took some close up shots of the corals in Danna's little tank. They are doing well. The leather you see was dieing in mine so I went and threw it in hers to see what would happen, and well it made a quick recovery.

dang them anyhow!! I think they are only happiest in a tank all by themselves!!
