Default my 6 gal book shelf nano

I finaly got it almost all together. I bought the light, and found out the hard way I should have purchased a two bulb instead of a four bulb. It was too wide to sit on top of the tank. The HOB filter was in the way. I ended up attaching it under the cabinets with a little chain. It is 96 watts over 6 gallons. I know a fan will be needed this summer.
The good old damsel came through for me again. The black sand is neat but I foresee a constant need to turkey baste the bottom. I also need to get a smaller black heater and upgrade the filter.
WHAHLA!

Looks nice. That tank is a lot wider then i thought.

TFP has a nice list of heaters Fish Tank Heaters & Aquarium Heaters at ThatFishPlace.com

This one looks interesting but i think i would get two Mini Aquarium Heater | Aquarium Heaters | Fish Tank Heaters | Aquarium - ThatPetPlace.com

Thank you! And don't you worry I will hear about it.

Thanks Chris...The tank is 24 inches long but only 7 inches wide. I really like the idea of the two flat heaters. One at each end should work out great.

I looked them up while I was at the frag swap. They won't work for me because they are made to bring the temp up about 5 degrees difference than the surrounding air temp. I have my heat go down to about 65 at night. Dang it!

I just put the three mini carpets that I bought yesterday in there. I get up this morning all excited to see them.....and they are all snuggled against the rocks towards the back of the tank!
GO FIGURE! I wanted to tell you....there were two stars in the algae! I can't thank you enough for everything.

Thought I would post a pic of the nano since placing the corals in. I had a valentines day present waiting for me. Who needs roses?
We appropriately named him valentine. He wants nothing to do with the bubble.
The mini carpets went from the size of a 50 cent piece to about 6 inches wide.

Tank looks great. I never was a fan of black sand but in the last few days ive seen a few tanks with it and im starting to like the contrast.

Those anemones sure did get bigger. Wonder what the max size of them is?

I was under the impression the anemones get to be about the size of a large rock anemone. BUT, I was wrong. The black sand is a REALLY nice contrast. It does show sediment but that just tells me it's time to turkey baste it towards the filter.

haha my maxis are about the size of a large rock nem, when I had one I think the approximation is accurate

The one I've had for over a year is about 5-6" - never gotten any bigger. All the new ones expand to that size after a couple weeks of being in the thank. I think they are just competing to see who is biggest

Thanks ento! I have found the nanos to be very rewarding. I don't know if it's just because I am around them more or if it's because I am keeping an eye on them due to being so small. One is by my chair in the living room and the other is in the kitchen.
