What happens when you don't do water changes on a 3g tank for over a year?

There is a happy fish in there, but he's hiding from the camera...

No shenanigans! Got the tank in March 09 and I think the water changes stopped around Sept. 09, it did start growing some cool macro algae though. Have no idea where the Halmedia appeared from...
