![]() So, my duncan has been getting stung by a nearby acan for a quite a while now, but it looks like a jelly infection has taken over... ![]() So, to get rid of the jelly I'm going to try dipping it in Revive - hopefully this will stop the head death - if not, then I'll move on to a healing iodine dip ![]() After dip - looks like I coulda blown a bit more of the infection off - we will see how it does ![]()

From the pic, that doesn't really look like brown jelly. It does however look like a coral thats been stung.
Did you happen to notice if it had a wretched nasty stench when you took it out of the water?? BJ will stink, but simply stung will not. Oh and BJ is almost a for sure demise, at least to the polyps it's infected, but a simple sting will heal over. Personally I would have dipped in in iodine first, revive is pretty strong. But He should come back for you. Keep us posted, I'm curious.

i never think the iodine dips do enough
hahaha always find myself having to opt for something strong ![]() it is looking better - the infection is pretty much gone, and the polyps are starting to come back Even the half infected/rotted ones look OK![]() The infection is 100% due to stinging - gotta love the sweeper tentacles off that little acan frag right below it I'll have to place it somewhere else once it gets better
