Hello all,

Just wanted to quickly introduce myself.

I've been in the hobby about 7 years now and am currently maintaining two DT's. One being a 40g reef tank and a 210g FOWLR.

I found this website through a google search that led me to the wonderfully (made) simple posts done by Barbara on growing rotifers, collecting clownfish larvae, and rearing clownfish. I have a pair of tank bred Ocellaris clowns that have laid their second batch of eggs and I'm going to attempt to raise them following those articles. I hope to document the process and at the same time contribute back to this community. Thanks for reading!

Thanks for the welcome guys and gals. Here are a few of the most recent pics I have of my setups.

40G Reef- this is actually an older pic before the frags grew in about a year ago.

210g FOWLR - it's actually much more populated than this but it seems they all fleed when I brought the camera out!

Again this is the 40g from yesterday with actinics only

and here's the couple that ultimately brought me to this forum:

they are in the 210. I have a pair of Black Ocellaris in the 40g, but they have not spawned yet. Hopefully by the time they do I'll have the process down pat.

Your tanks look good, but we need more pics, cause we are greedy like that.

Thanks all for the warm welcome and compliments!!

I'll get more pics up soon Pat. I usually have tons of them but have been kinda busy and somewhat neglective up until a few weeks ago but am getting back on track here soon.

Barbara, I've been debating on which way I should collect them. After the first batch I placed a clay saucer over their last location and this time they laid the eggs on the saucer. It'd be easy for me to take it out but I'm wondering which method would yeild me the most survivors. I'd rather catch them all using your method but it's not so comfortable to do because my tank is 30" high and starts 3 feet off the ground. It's a long time to wait for them to collect in a cup with my hands over my head...but we'll see. btw..I just started my thread in the breeding forum.

Thanks! I'm more of a fish guy so I like to have big open areas for lots of fish to swim though I do like to see the occasional corals swaying back and forth in the current.
