New here to the reef-geek forum thought id start here n introduce myself. Names Steve but my friends call me Toke hence my username. Been reefin for just over a year and still tryin to get the hang of it.
My current tank is a 55g mixed reef (or its guna be a mixed reef anyway). I have 4 fish (yellow tang, green chromis, clownfish, and a royal gramma) and 4 different corals so far (two different star polyps, some zoas, and a goniopora and two condy anemones). As far as equipment i have a new skimmer and sump that i am settin up in the next few weeks (skimmer is a reef octopus and a 30 g sump). Two koralia power heads (one is 850gph and the other is 1250gph). Return pump is a Rio 1200 i believe. The light is an Aquaticlife T5HO 4 bulb. Lookin forward to tryin to meet some people here and broaden my knowledge of reef keeping and as i broadin my livestock im sure i will have loads of questions. Oh and if anyone could inform me of a different way of uploading pictures i would appreciate i tried to just attach it but my file sizes are too large. |

Toke! Glad to have you on board! So how long has your tank been set up? What other corals and/or fish are you planning or hoping to add to your tank in the future to continue the Mixed Reef? I'm sure a mod will chime in with a good How To Upload Photos link soon It's not too bad. I use photobucket, upload my photos to an account there, and once the photo uploads, I right click on the image and copy the image URL. Then you click on the "post pic" option here and it will prompt you to post the image url link. Hope that didn't confuse you further :P

Welcome to the forum!!! Sounds like a cool tank.
To upload pics, go to the photo geeks forum and there are two stickies at the top which will guide you through the process. This website can store a few pics, but hosting them on a site like photobucket allows you to download a lot more. Photo Geeks - Reef-Geeks

Well then you can shop at DPA, they have some good stuff there. You could also come to Delaware Reef Club meetings, the next one is Monday the 21st. Come on out if you can delreefclub.org.

it's GREAT to have 'ya here!![]() tank is lookin' pretty darn good so far! LOVE my carpet anemone - saddlebacks love them too! - - just be careful to wait until tank is firmly established, you have lots of flow, and your lighting is strong enough to support the nem....and "sinkin' money" will continue for a very long time my friend! ![]() ![]()
