Have a few skimmers for sale. In my attempt to find a skimmer that fit the limited space in my sump and didn't make changing the sock a PITA, I know have extras.
All prices are shipped in the cont. US Marineland 300 Pro Skimmer $85.00 I used this skimmer for a long time and never had any problems with it. This was the original skimmer that I used in my sump. I will give it a vinegar bath before sending it out. MRC OF-200 Skimmer (Reef Builders) $145.00 This skimmer is brand new, was received in the Manufactures sealed box (and will be sent out in the same box), and was in water for only 2 weeks. It needs an impeller shaft now as I broke when I pulled it out to clean it up and box it back up. I put an Atman 2500 on it, and it seemed to work good. I will give you the original pump with it also, which I believe is the same as the octopus pump. I personally think it did much better with the Atman 2500 (Does not come with the Atman). Bubble Magus BM100v2 Purchased this used. It showed up broken at the base ring, and the pump rotor was swelled. I had the base ring repaired at a local shop plastics using WeldOn, it is strong as new now:thumbsup:. The pump motor is good, but it needs a rotor. Honestly, you'd be better off buying the impeller assembly as it comes complete with the shaft for ~$30.00. The housing that covers the impeller is cracking in several spots, but it does not effect the operation. So, the BM100 skimmer less the pump for $90.00, with the pump for $120.00 Either way you buy this, it will come with the volute. Pics below. I will get a picture of the Marineland once it's cleaned up. MRC OF-200 ![]() ![]() ![]() Bubble Magus BM100 ![]() ![]() ![]()

I was happy with many skimmers that I put in this system, just unhappy with changing the socks
![]() I never had a problem with the Marineland (or the others). It produced a nice/stinky skimate, and ran without issue. Initially, it took some time to figure out the running water level it sat in, which turned out to be 6-7". After I had that set, and set my air intake, the only thing I would do is empty the cup when needed and clean the skimmer during maint.

Hope the cat is ok
We recently had out Rhodesian Ridgeback to the vet for what we thought was a broken toenail, and unfortunately, it turned out to be cancer We had the toe removed, they got good margins and his tests came back clear so fingers crossed that it doesn't return. This set me back $3000, but we love our boy, and he's worth every cent!Do you have a skimmer now? If your in a spot, let me know and I'll work with ya. Pay it forward

I still dont even have my 120g tank that I ordered 2-3 months ago. Im just trying to determine which brands I want to buy atm. The skimmer wont need to be purchased for quite a while. The marineland fits my sump perfect. I am actually just going to get a skimmer in case I absolutely need it. I am going to try skimmerless at first, with a large macro refugium and large mangroves. At the rate I am currently going I wont need a skimmer for 6 months
. That is horrible about your dog. That breed is beautiful.
