So, I got an orange tree...

I feel like I did when I started this hobby!! Which insects that I find are good, which are bad- whats a curling leaf mean? I can't find whatever chewed on this leaf, wth are these eggs?... And thats just critters!! When to fertilize, which fertilizer, where to plant! UGH!!!

This is a baby tree, about 4 feet high and so far I've founs ladybug larvae on it- which is good, a tropical orb weaver, which is a spider. Very pretty spider and if the wind ever stops, I'll get some pics, but I am so excited about my little tree and I don't want it to die from my neglect or lack of research... But this totally reminds me of starting this swf hobby!! So much info, so many different opoinions!!

It's called a red naval, the fruit's outside is orangish red but the inside looks similiar to a pink grapefruit! But it is so incredibly sweet!! Oh and I saw this orange for sale at a citrus center- they wanted 10 dollars for 5 lbs!!! IDK why they are so expensive, but I am excited for fruit. Sweet and seedless!!

sounds like another hobby might be starting. Shouldn't you have to so that they can pollinate and produce fruit? Maybe not. Just a thought.

I was really confused there at first, I thought you meant orange tree sponge. Then I thought you were talking about an orange Christmas tree??? Didn't occur to me that you're in the tropics and can still buy plants this time of year

Oh! Rgr, I don't really need to since its outside, but my neighbor has a couple of orange trees. I will however expand my "tree garden" if this tree does well.
