Need advice from the girls

My husband has always had short hair except before I new him. I met him once w/ long hair when he came into my store and didn't like it or him. Didn't even recognize him when I met him 6 months later and he had cut it short. Well now he has decided to grow it longer, and it is getting to long. I have to admit I like it w/ a little length, but I woke up today and he had it in a pony tail. How can I get him to at least trim it? Any Ideas and how many of you girl have had to put up w/ something like this?

Not a female, but from my perspective, just tell him you think he looks hotter with short hair, he'll cut it the next day. Men typically are less sensitive about style criticisms.

Didn't work, even threatened to cut my hair short which he hates.

i dunno, I'd bet ur SOL - at least until he is willing to hear your opinion on how it looks..

You could bribe his buddies into giving him a hard time about dressing like a girl... maybe get a dress in his size and hang it in his closet???



I can never tell my husband how to dress, or groom, or anything... those discussions always end in a "You can't tell ME what to do, ur not my mommie" type of discussion/arguement hahaha

That is exactly what I'm getting. It is my hair and your not my mom. I like the dress idea though, I could put some make up on him while he's sleeping and post the pics to his friends. That might sink the whole girl thing.He is just so good looking (punk rock guitar playing type), the long hair just doesn't suit him. I'm not use to it. BLAAAAAAAAAAA, Yuk!!!!!!!!!!!

I am, but I've seen him shave his head when he has had to work down south in the summer, and it doesn't look bad. Better than the almost shoulder length hair he has right now.

hmmmm....that's a tough one kimberlee - 'cause they're gonna do what they want anyway.....although, you could kind of back away just a teeny bit when he gets cuddly/frisky....and at that "right" moment maybe say something like "oh...sorry hon...I just can't used to that hair....man you were so hot with it shorter..." - - - I think 'ya get where I'm going???

OR............why don't you put up a poll for all us females here.....one pic of his new style and one of how it used to look.......and let all of us females together convince him otherwise?!

He would hang me for taking that pic(would have to be done while he is asleep) very self conscious.

It looked good like a week ago, now it is getting to the too long point. I'll try to get the pics though. The real poll will be do I cut the hair myself when he is sleeping or leave it. I could get away w/ that. And as far as the frisky thing his will power is greater than mine in that area.

That's weird. Why would he not want to look good for women?

Raised strict, and very religious, never had a serious relationship till we met. To put it as nicely as I can I'm the only 1 he has known, and I've never even seen him look at another girl. (only cares what I think, except on the hair thing).

I figure if I trim it a little every other day he wont notice as it gets shorter and shorter, kinda like I didn't realize how big my kids have gotten over the years. By thanksgiving I could have it at a nice length.

I don't know, when my wife told me she wanted me to grow my hair longer I did, had a crew cut at the time. Then a few years later she wanted me to cut it to a mid length, so the next day our daughter cut it. My hair length don't matter to me, so I'll make it whatever length my wife wants.

Okay now your in trouble, he is older than me, doesn't look it. Up until 2 years ago he was still getting carded for ciggs, and he's not a hippie. Californian punk rocker. Plays a mean guitar.

Oh he'll be so mad I let this 1 out, but I decided to marry him about a month after moving in together, when I came home from a graveyard shift, to find him playing twinkle twinkle little star to my 4 month old infant son. Too cute right.
