There will definetly be a nice recliner, fridge, kick arse tv and dvd system and a few other bits and pieces this is going to be my area to escape to.

Right on track (remember this stand doesn't have to look pretty it is in a mans domain)

One completed stand (well about 80%)

We'll be the plague of the forum's soon

Nice work there Steve. The limestone look will blend in nicely with the shed too. For the ply, are you using marine grade ply, or just painting it?

Nah it is not marine grade just structural I will hopefully get a chance to smack some paint on it tomorrow when I get home around 12 (tank is arriving at 3) but ........... if not it is something I will have to keep an eye on (might slap a coat on tonight)

Cheers

Clear timber finishes work well too, there are water resistant grades for a fair price. You could put the tank on it whilst it's wet too, it won't hurt.

You wouldn't believe it I have about a 4 to 5mm bump dead center in the back of the plywood (would be from the way I laid the blocks) do you think the Styrofoam will take the bump or should I sand it out (it rises and falls over about a foot)

Have slapped some blue acrylic on it should get another coat on tomorrow.

Cheers

Thanks for the welcome one and all.

You can never have too many Chris's around but if it gets confusing just call me Sir

Barbara I don't need to get Steve into trouble he does such a good job of it that I couldn't take his pleasure away from him

But seriously Steve is very precise and meticulous about everything so it has me stumpped how he managed to spill that much water to convince his better half to allow him to bring sooo!!! much more water within a close vecinity of the house. Obviously she has never seen a shed surfing a tidal wave hit a house. I lost a 6x2x2 and it took me lots of bribing, promising and overall suckingup to be allowed a new tank on the proviso that if I spill water the tank and I look for alternate premises.

Both Steve's and Dave's (Stormtrooper) tanks are a real credit to them I hope mine grows up to be like theirs.
