I got a great deal on this and have always wanted one, so here it is!
I plan to stock it with LPS/softies, my picasso and some small gobies. I'm sure a few clams will sneak their way in too. This place is a bad influence on me LOL. I need to plumb it, get the pump and lights. I'm thinking I want to go LED. Any ideas on sources that aren't too expensive? (Steve?) I also have the issue of how to hang the lights. My parents aren't too crazy about me hanging it from the ceiling. Any suggestions? ![]()

Nice can't wait to see it going.
What about a free standing light from the rear of the tank. Can bolt it to the back of the stand or I've seen brackets that sit on the floor.

Yes, I plan on getting some of those. Now, I just need to find where to buy them. I am considering this light:
Blue Moon Aquatics 5000 Lumen/15000K (460nm) LED Pendant It is 16" and the tank is 15". Perfect size. |

Yeah those are pretty nice. Thinking about LED's myself for my little tank. Like to do them on the big tank but I'd half to give them all of my appendages to pay for them.

Hmm, not sure Billrob. I don't really know. Time to do some research.
Thanks Steve! Brackets won't work on the tank, it has to hang above soe the water can flow down the sides. I wonder if this would work?? Current USA`s Hanging Arm System for Outer Orbit, SunDial HQI, Nova Extreme Pro & SunPod Fixtures. |

Blake theres small black rolled iron brakets you can get from Home Depot the kind they hang plants from that may work nice and they would match the stand. They'd be cheap and would do the job.
Steve the zero edge tanks overflow the water and onto the stand and then down the holes to the sump. A little algae on the glass can affect the way it flows.

Good suggestion! I'm glad you found my thread! You're saving me a lot of $$. I'll look into that one. I like to support our sponsors
I like that it looks like it has a hanging kit already to go. I wish it came in black though. I wonder how much shipping is . It is free with the other one.

This is going to be fun. Getting a plant hanger from HD is a good idea. You could also get a wielder to make something for you and it shouldnt cost too much. You just need a flat plate down low to screw or clamp to the stand and then bend to fit.
Luke has a nice LED fixture but it might be way too much light for you 150w LED Fixture |

Thanks Chris and Barb! Yeah Chris, I think it might be too much light. I wonder if I could paint the might to match the stand? My parents want me to get the the other light just because it's black. I'll look into the plant hangers today after work.

Im sure you could paint the light to match pretty close. Clean and scuff it first and it should be fine
