Default Skimmers?

Some one gave me this skimmer, minus pump. I don't know anything about it, including who makes it or what pump I would need to make it work. HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Sorry about the food being in front of it, the black pice you think the food is in front of ends right there.

looks like a cone skimmer. should work better than your seaclone.

Not it. Need to know what kind of pump to get. More complicated than the seaclone though

Me either, but I'm sure I'll like this 1 better than the seaclone, and I could give the old 1 to my kid which would be a great skimmer for a 20 long. Just need to know which pump I need and how to set the thing up.

Looks like a coralife super skimmer to me. Might be one of the earlier ones from the looks of it. If the main skimmer body is around 4" then it needs a needle wheel pump with 325gph. I looked around for a pump for it and didnt find any. I wouldnt waste much time or money trying to get this skimmer working. For a little more money then the replacement pump you could get a whole new skimmer that will work much better then this one.

Thats hard to say. For a skimmer to work well its a matter of air to water ratio, contact time, bubble size ect.. so you would have to know these things to say which will work better. If you can get the right size needle wheel pump for cheep its worth a shot but if your going to pay $100 for the pump you're better off IMO getting a new skimmer that you know will work right.

Either of these would be well worth the money as opposed to $100 for a pump
