What do you pump it into? How far do you have to transport it?

Well i have only gone once since i set my 5x2x2 up .
And only finished wiring up the switch ,and extending the pump cables last week. Not sure how often i will go , but it is amazing to see how the corals open right up to feed once the water was added. |

why are you skimmer NSW and then adding it to your main tank?
I would just add it straight to your tank Andrew and i can imagine your corals will go nuts over all the little bugs thats in the water. I would luv to collect my own water but it will take me hour and half to get there. |

that's soooooooo cool that you are able to collect genuine salt water...I'd love to be able to do that...I think it would be healthier for your tank....is it? How often do you collect water? And do you filter it in any way or store it?

, and what it cost , it has already paid off .Quote:
"but i am lazy " so roughly once a month i get 200 liters 200 liters to buy "would cost $50 dollars , at the local fish shop" The only thing is not to get it after we have heavy rain "thats the only rule really" Most times i collect, i never filter it.But this week due to the winds i skimmed the water before i put it into the tank. Also all i do is store it in a 250 liter container and heat it up
