Hey all
Was stolling around the internet and found these== SUNBRITE LIGHTING SYSTEMS INC Anyone else heard or have used these??? I like them cause they sell a 6 foot tube in a variety of color choices. Little over $200 for a single 6 foot tube but nothing else to buy all ballasts and drivers are inclosed in the tube just needs a positive power feed on one side and a negative feed on the other. Was thinking of switching out my VHO's for T5's but may just jump into these instead.

very cool......would you only need one unit? .....their prices are really good but don't know anyone who's used them so don't know what the quality is for the low price? I'm gonna follow this thread...maybe you could be our guinea pig?

Barb would need to run 2 to eliminate the 2 6 foot VHO's
Barb I just might be the guinea pig I call a companey in California that has them and looked at a couple of there videos,The start up cost is pretty high but cheaper then a actual fixture and they sell them in 6 ft and alot cheaper in electric.

Very nice I haven't seen these yet. I've seen the ones that go into T5 fixtures and people have really liked these.

...BUT the electric savings along with not having to replace them for 10 years makes them a better investment in the long run.....I think we're just still waiting for the prices to go down.....just like we're still waiting on buying a flat screen TV and an ipod/mp3 .....so what did the rep tell you?

Here is a write up on them.....
Second generation led tubes from Sunbrite LED are a massive overhaul of the initial offering Sounds like these second Gen are much better then the first.... |

Hey all
I'm thinking of getting these for the new little cadlight tank and running 4 instead of the metal halide. I fired it up the other night and theres alot of heat it puts into the room. Figuring 2 470 lights and maybe 2 12000k tubes.

The gen 2's are going to be much better with the cree and bridgelux. The 60 degree optics will really help with penetration and par value's. The spread isn't as good but they pack a much better punch.

Thanks Luke I like the idea of them selling 6 footers, but I may hold off on the long tubes and get 4 2 foot tubes for the new tank and do away with the MH fixture, MAYBE.
