New LED tubes - Page 3 - Reef-Geeks

I lost 2 one in my tank and one in the wifes tank a small one and the real pretty purple and gold from Dr Macs

but all the others look real good.

Not sure what happened the big one got case of PM but not real bad. I FW dipped 3 at one time and the other 2 look great and the next day that one was gone.

So is the place you got the lights from taking care of you? How well were they packed?

Yeah the guy is mailing me out another set today and he said he would pack them more secure. The tubes were in foam pretty tight but guese not tight enough. The one end was broken on one and the other had a broken lens. Should have the new ones Tuesday or Wednesday, he sent them priority.

ouch! that sucks about the lights and the clams bill.........sorry to hear.......that just means you have more time this weekend for YOU!!!

Just gives me time to du the frag tank that I've been putting off doing.

Well everyone got the wiring for the tubes today and got everything wired up and fired up all the lights and my MH are still kinda drowning everything out, but will say the LED tubes put out some amazing light and they have shimmer. I'm still seeing spots. I've got pictures to post here shortly just waiting for the halides to fire back up. and i'll post pics. I have pics of just the led tubes on I have pics of the florescent on and I have pics with both on and will soon have pics with everything on. I will say that all the corals changed colors with the LED's on. Looks like a black light is on over the tank.

It would depend on the tank size. but I think 2 of them would light a 20 long frag tank fairly well.
