Got a spawn tonight! 11-17-09 surprisingly at the same time my Mandarins would spawn 9:30ish pm.
Unlike the Mandarins eggs these are positively buoyant and stayed in their strands thankfully. Made for a easy collection.

I'm always amazed by how fast the embryos develop. And yeah I need one of those microscopes too. I've been holding out for a $3,000 set-up, but that one is really nice, especially for the price.

The eggs are developing slower than the Mandarins. In thier defense though the temps in their container are lower than what the Mandarins where.
I mandaged to catch a spawn on video. This is their second known spawn. Broodstock has been together for 5 days now.
