Centropyge (dwarf) Angels - have they behaved?

Default Centropyge (dwarf) Angels - have they behaved?

OK - now that my mind is consumed with re-stocking my tank, another "white whale" i've never been brave enough to keep in my tank cuz I love my corals and clams, are dwarf angels....

I know they are "moderately reef safe" - basically I read that is, if well fed, may not eat your corals and clams - hahaha

What has everyone's experience been with these beauties??

I used to love those too. As much as I love black fish they are literally impossible to take pictures of. I miss my regular clowns my black occs are so hard to get a pic of and get detail.

lol - or the angler cube - not sure which fate is more dire... a lifetime with a pair of clowns in 10 gallons of water as solitary confinement - or waiting around in a 25 display until the angler is big enough to eat me ... hmmmmm hahahaha

You might have better luck if you can track down a captive bred one. They aren't easy to find, but they do exist.

Will work for CLAMS
Default

I've had as many as 5 in my old 180 with corals and clams. 2 flames, rusty, potters and a pygmy. Had good luck with all of them but I had a flame in the wifes tank and it was a nipper. Think theres good i bad in all of them and the evil comes out at times but think for the most part there ok.

The flames are my favorite and the potters is second but not had alot of luck with life span on the potters, heard how there collected is a big part of there survival.

I find that coral beauties are generally safer and better tank mates than flame angels.

My coral beauty has been a model citizen since I got him, and my flame was too till a rock slide cut his life short. I do know of others that have big trouble with flames, but I have only heard a few bad reports on coral beauties.
