Default Sleeper gobies/sand sifting gobies

I have read so many conflicitng reports on these guys. Some sources say they eat prepared food just fine, others say they eat everything good in your sand, then die once it is depleted. Anyone with experience wanna shed some first hand info for me please?

I've had a yellow watchman for a year and a half now, eats anything frozen, and does a nice job on sections of the sand bed. great fish!

I have a diamond goby and it don't even go all over anymore. It stays within a foot to two feet from it's home that it dug under some rock. It does keep the sand looking good near it's home though. I guess if I had 6-8 of them my entire tank would be clean lol

I have yellow head sleeper gobies in both of my tanks. They all eat anything I feed, flake frozen or pellet, but they also sift the sand. No matter how much I feed they eat sand too, it's just what they do.

I have a yellow watchman goby, too, and he also eats frozen. I feed mysis and krill, and he even snags a nibble or two of zooplex when I add it ^_^ I have a crushed coral substrate, and he will sometimes clean small sections, but the pieces of coral are rather large, so in general, he just eats the frozen.

I was more concerned with the sleepers not the watchman. i had read they are pickier about the sifting and needed a specific grain size. Im all set now i have my sand selected. Thanks guys!
