I don't blame you...I'd definitely make sacrifices for those beauties

they both look very healthy and comfortable with their surroundings...I think you have gotten over the first hurdle and are very close to mastering the second - feeding...keep up the pampering and do keep us posted...also keep the pics coming - I'm so enjoying these fish of yours!

Thanks you two. I had a major breakthrough tonight, the male is pigging out on the rod's food pressed into the acro skeleton. He was even defending it from the female!

This is the first time I have seen them spar a little bit. I feel so much better seeing him eat like that. His belly his huge!

We had another huge breakthrough tonight. The male just decided frozen mysis were good eating! For a fish that basically ignored food floating in the water column he has done a 180 degree turn around. He just started eating them like it was something he has been doing forever.

Thanks everyone. No one could be happier than I am tonight. They both have started coming to the front of the tank when they see me... just waiting to see what I drop in there. I tried flakes again this afternoon and they both went crazy for them. I need to get a video. They were fighting over the food. The male watches the female and whenever she goes for something he rushes in to steal it from her.... he's a sneaky one...

Yeah, he seems to always think the food the the female is eating must be better than what is floating right by his face. I am just happy to see them both pigging out. Now I have to try and fatten them up good.
