I think Tangs tend to get along well enough with members from their own species. It might be ok.

Tangs will only usually get along if they are different shaps, oval and cirles, e.g regal tang and a yellow tang are usually seen together becasue of their different shape, also colours are a factor two fish the same colour may fight for dominance

I agree with pezza on the shape thing. One exception to that might be if two different species of the same shape were added at the same time but thats still no guarantee that they wont fight now or later down the line

I agree different color / shapes is generally considered OK - HOWEVER - I attempted to put a powder brown in my tank and my purple tang went absolutely balistic on him.

They are completely different colors and shapes. The purple had and still hasn't ever bothered a new addition other then that tang.

Just be prepared for them to not get along and understand you may have to take one back out.

alrighty thanks im still trying to decide. i just have a good deal lined up on a medium naso for 30 and i really like em. but at live aquaria they say that the naso will be aggressive towards other tangs.

Naso's (and all Acanthurus type speciies) are one of the more aggressive types of Tangs - What I've heard is add all at your tangs at once, or move your existing out for a little while to give your new addition time to get some territory.

A new fish is usually a little starved from transport, disoriented, and under the weather - so when your existing tang decides to attack him, he just doesn't want to fight back, and can get caught in some pretty desperate situations.

I had a PBT and a yellow in my 100 gallon and they did great. I added a lavender and the PBT beat the crap out of it. I pulled out the PBT and left the other two and they swin together now and everything. So it's really up to the fish who and what they like.

WOW Tuesday to Saturday in a bag, and still alive. He should be stuck in a bag for 5 days and see how he does.

Glad you got the fish, I have 2 of then, and they are great.
