Does anyone have any experience with marine betta's, I have some questions about them.

people avoid them. i'm assuming they are extremely agressive and will eat clams, snails and most peaceful fish.

I read an article on breeding them and how nice they are in reef tanks (except for the eating your tankmates issue) in an old issue of coral magazine - This one -

* Breeding the Comet (Marine Betta)
* The Reefs of Oman
* Australian Lord Corals (Acanthastrea)

Anyhow - Never known anyone to keep them, but this article was really in depth - if you find anyone with this issue or the online subscription its worth the read!

You can also search for Comet - that apparently is their common name in some circles.

we never had any ourselves...earlier researched made us steer clear of them.....but the info below is definitely worth looking into if you're serious about having them........great job estanoche!

I haven't but I have a local Thai restaurant and they have a 300g reef display with everything in it and they keep one with no problems.

I saw that place on a hunting trip that I took through there. it is awesome and the food ain't half bad. Did you look at stocking questions yet?

I forget the name of the grounds, but it is about 2 hours outside of port angles. we got 2 large buck on the trip.
