Wrasse Compatability - Reef-Geeks

I've had this jumping fear concerning fish with my tank, but now I've added 1/4 inch clear mesh over my reef. I really like wrasses, but I had some problems with my 125 and lost a few. Jumping wasn't the issue, but now my only wrasse is a Tamrind/ China and from my reading it should have jumped long ago. Also its tankmates are all wrong ie Purple Tang, Kole, Foxface, but the Wrasse is one of the most aggressive in the tank...stealing food, etc. I got my eye on some Potter's Wrasses, Christmas, Leopards, but their tempermant seems wrong as does the Tamarind however it does fine. Any comments or suggestions out there?

I have a leopard and it started as female and changed to male and I have a 6 line no problems and I've had them both a long while. Never had a Tamrind. I have had a pair of Flame wrasses and they both jumped.

You really don't know how they will act unless they are in there. I had a problem with one of my tangs that was usually really nice to everything. It went nuts and tried killing a new tang to the family. There's some on here that have a lot of wrasses. I'm sure they will chime in shortly.

I am not sure of the compatibility of that wrasse with others but all the others sound fine to go in with each other.

did you ever get another wrasse or two fishchef? if so, what kind and how is it with the other fish? ...got any news or updates you can share with us?

....................anyone else here care to chime in with wrasse compatibility?

I did add a leopard , but it hid and was never found again...what a drag. I added a Green Coris and it does fine with the group. Its been a while now. The tank looks great. Thanks for asking.

).....would I be asking too much to see some updated pics of your tank?
