Well I couldn't refuse it. There were 3 achillis tangs in the store today. I ended up walking out with a lavender tang. As soon as I got it acclimated and in the tank the PBT started having it's way with it. So I thought about it and netted out the PBT and put it in the 100 gal tank in the back and left the lavender in the DT. The yellow that's in there and now this one should be pretty mello. They had a powder brown I almost got. Wish my new one luck. He took a licking before I could get the bully out. I have some pics from the acclimation, but none in the tank. I'll get those on tomorrow. To tired tonight.

oh yeah it ate great. they use rods food too and I bought a bag of it to mix with my DIY food. He's actually out in the open of the tank, but all the lighting is off. Might try to sneak one later.

You did read that I got a lavender tang and not an achillis right?

the achillis where all 175. not a bad price. the gf just wouldn't go for it no matter how I begged or what I promised. Maybe it's time to be single again for a while. lol

well i got up and the lavender is still alive and in the DT and the PBT is still alive and in my frag tank. So, there's peace in my marine world today.

The lavender does have some scratches from the mean PBT, but i'm sure they will heal up nicely like the yellow did. The yellow ended up getting bigger than the PBT so they made peace.

Do you all think I can wait about a month and try to introduce the PBT back in the DT, or do you think it will still have the I own everything attitude?

WOW glen...what a beautiful fish!!! so glad it's healthy and happy too

I'd probably keep the powder blue and the lavendar in separate tanks....their body type is almost identical which usually means constant fighting....the yellow tang has a different body type and will end up being fine with either of the other two..............we have 2 hippos, 1 powder blue and 1 sailfin - - all have different body types and all get along OK (powder blue chases the hippos every now and then to let them know he's still boss

) ....why not set up another display tank???

well I have a 30 gal that's long that I'm wanting to put in my bedroom. Maybe I'll just keep the PBT where it is till then. I want to add a sailfin sometime soon.
