Well Lindsay and I spent 2 hours at Charlies yesterday and he got a new fish order in (charlie let us use the back to make our new sump for the 37g). We were debating between a Brown powder, blue powder, or the blue hippo baby... We went w/ the hippo baby b/c its the smallest and most fit for our tank! I will post some nicer pic's with my real camera later on today

Very cute! Looks like he is doing well, already out in the open checking things out. Also looks like yours has that "I wanna be a clown" syndrome ours had as well!

Anyone have an opinion on whether or not momma will adjust to hipp well? She seems to be ok at times, but she seems to be overly protective at other times. I know its a new tank mate and she was perfectly find with who was in there, but I figured it would work out and think it will, just wondering if anyone else has experience w/ this?

Awwwww.....baby dory!!!

.....I LOVE our dory's!!!

.... clowns are very territorial and ours get uptight when ANY fish get near their nesting site or host

... but they never harmed any other fish, even when our dory's were tiny ... you'll be fine! .....but that cute little hippo will become a very BIG hippo too

yep just wait till you have to upgrade your tank for your tang!

We won't have to upgrade our tank for a tang

We already have plans to make a 90g in due time, the tang will not grow fast enough where we will have to rush to have it made

We have a tomini tang that we bought around that size and it is growing well, but not at an outrageous rate or anything and will be able to comfortably wait for the 90g as well

aw looks like it's doing good and checking everything out. I haven't had luck with the hippo's but I want to try one again some time soon.

I was really tentative and nervous about buying one... esp when I was putting it right into a very healthy thriving system, and our only real DT at the moment, esp when I have read and heard about their finicky nature, but Lindsay loved the little guy, and I agreed he would be an amazing addition

I also figured, good tank conditions would help him adjust well, and i guess it has helped

Those are one of the prettiest fish around IMO

He/she should be around for a long time !!

We have had three over the years and I have been wanting another one so bad .

The tank looks real good and verry stable to!

Dont be bashfull about allowing a small patch of alga for it to eat !

that's no joke. I put two sheets of nori in at lunch and I bet it's all gone already. They would eat two a day if I let them and I only have two tangs!

I haven't had luck with either of my tangs taking bites at the nori yet, but I have put some in a few times, and hopefully they will take to it
