McCosker Flasher wrasse.

Ok well the one I bought from LFS croaked just like everthing else I buy from thier copper system. I did just get two in from ebay finally. Here is a shot of them. They just got done acclimating and are getting used to thier new home.

I am alittle concerned about the males eyes though. The have a wierd sheen to them. It doesnt look like its bothering him at all and hes eating like a champ. Anyone know what that is?

They look great. The eye thing could be from getting bumped around on the trip. Keep an eye on it but i wouldnt be too worried right now

he was flashing for like crazy and zooming around. I tried to grab teh camera and of course he stopped as soon as I picked it up. They seem pretty happy. Apparently the first one I had gotten was a female.

Very cool D3monic, the male gets a bit of a kick in the tail from the powerhead. Also I gotta say song #2 is MUCH better than #1, that stuff makes my brain hurt.

Cool video D3monic. Poor guy was strutting his stuff and the girl couldnt stop looking at her reflection in the glass. I guess some things never change.

lol. I cant wait to get my 75gal set up. I think a school of them and some anthias would make for some pretty colors.

too funny...exerting all that energy just to get shunned by her...great fun to watch d3monic thanks for sharing...(I also like the 2nd song better)...where was the cleaner in the last 2 shots? How old is your cleaner?

I have had the cleaner for about 6 months. Hes flashing alot more than that now. Hes doing it almost constantly. She seems to be responding to it. It was brought to my attention that it is not a McCoskers. Some thought Carpenters but I looked through several dozen pictures and its alot brighter colors and alittle different. Im leaning toward hybreed maybe. To my knowlege they only flash like that if there is a female to show off for.

This has me wondering if it is possible to put different types of wrasses in a smaller tank. I have a sixline and have always been scared to add another.

I think it depends on the species. I have heard that 6line can get territorial when they get all grown up. I know flasher wrasses can be cool. Also notorius crossbreeders.
