Acording the a news relaes ,,,,,the coast of Puerto Rico just may be a hot spot for studying the impact of the gulf oil disaster,,NOAA and the University of Central Florida biologist John Fauth,are atempting to study the endangerd Elkhorn Coral .

It appears that some corals in this area are experiencing the same alga growth and possible contaminations as that in which is showing up in the same area as the Gulf of Mexico oil spill.

It apears that scientist are looking at the enzymes and chemical signature of contaminants in the corals.

Hope fully they will be able to determine several issues regarding damage from oil contamination..


Scientist claim they will duplicat their comprehensive approach through out the area as time allows , they are painstakenly maticulous as to protect the living corals under this study.

wow I hope that's not the case. This is still going to effect that area for years and years.

Sigh. Oil, oil, oil We crave it need it and depend on it for the most part. It can create great wonders but in the same second destroy what took the earth millions of years to create.

..........but I know we as a whole are smart enough to use safer and more reliable resources to solve our needs!
