Hi everyone im back for newe project by Steedy

We want to produce bases for glueing new corals , what we need

We need :

Coral chips size is betveen 3mm-15mm(smaller is better)
Reef Bond glue
White cement
and we can add a little glue to tiles
and form for mixture.

everything put on bucket and mixing together, as we shall see the mixture starts to solidify then we need to start producing bases for corals.

They look great! what amounts/ ratio's did you use? is curing necessary? and is there an alternative(cheaper) product then the reef bond glue?

I got 30 lbs of the coral chips, and i really like the look of your work!

For first thx my friend.

Second : Ratio

coral chips 1,5kg-2kg
white cement 0,5kg
Reef bond - 100g
glue to tiles - 200-300g

if you want do more cheaper so use more glue to tiles , but i have not tried it.
White cemen I use this - HET.cz - Stavební hmoty - Cement bílý
this cement give a colour(white) of coral base and also works as a connection between c.chips.

thirds : Curing is nessery - 1-3days

Looks great! I will bet those plugs blend in perfectly with live rock. Once the corraline takes over Ill you probably wont even see them.

When you mixed the white cement and the coral chips together, what was the glue used for? Is it in the mixture?

Nice write up there Levi!! It makes sense that you'd want to give the LPS a place for the skeleton to encrust.. I've always found my "thin" frags that have less skeleton seemed to grow faster than those big hunks o'LPS you normally get
