Will work for CLAMS

Well since I haven't gotten my big skimmer running yet I decided to build a smaller one. I had the basic skimmer but was just a shell so here it is. The only thing left is the return set up and hopefully have that later today after my home depot or lowes trip.
Basic skimmer body. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Heres the pump and in action shots it was just a basic ocean runner 2500 but I had a needle wheel out of a aquabee pump that I took apart 2 to make one very nice working needle wheel impeller with a 1/4 inch air nipple attached so it should put some great water/air flow. ![]() ![]() ![]()

AM's do a nice job at low wattage, Question Is the kneck maybe a little small? Do you have plans to widen it?

Not sure yet when I get the return drilled and working I'll see what kinda flow works. The outlet on the nipple is alot bigger then the outlet coming off the pump even after I drilled the pump so not sure the outlet nipple size is gonna matter since the outlet of the pump is on the smaller size.

Aqua medics are notorious for lacking bubbles, They are great for low wattage but man they tend to really get weak when you open the air up on em. There is sweet spot if you can find it where the bubbles are just enough to satisfy the most bubble hungry ttank, but it takes patience.
