Default Visit to Coral Props, with camera

Angie, Madison and I went out to visit Henk, at Coral Props, today, to pick up a few corals and I took the camera along, as usual. Some are colonies that frags are cut from, some are actual frags, some are still in QT and will be available soon, ALL are mouth watering, even if my photos don't always capture their true beauty. Please keep in mind, all pictures are taken without any artificial light. Henk grows everything in his greenhouse, which he's recently covered with a 50% blue cloth, to offer the corals relief from full sunlight, which has been scarce over here, lately.

Colony

I MUST have a frag of this, when it gets cut!!

Here's another one I MUST HAVE! I wish I'd have got a better photo of this one.

I've never been a big fan of Fungia but this one is to die for!!

Single Polyp, many mouths.

This one's gonna be NICE. The subtle blue/purple that you can barely see in the photo, surrounds this polyp.

This lil' guy is so cute!

As is this 6"+ beauty!

A glimpse, from the center of this gorgeous and large Elegance Coral!! I should have switched lenses to get a picture of the entire colony.

These will be out of QT soon, and Angie will probably snap them up!

This colony is also coming out of QT soon, and if Henk would have let me, I'd have snapped up the entire colony, today...lol. Watch for frags of this one in the near future, on his website.

Thank you! I shoot with a Canon 7D and all of those photos were taken with a Canon 100mm Macro, through Henk's (Owner of CoralProps) look down box. I really need to start taking some pics with either my 50mm 1.8 or the 18-200mm, instead of ALL Macros, so you can actually see the entire colonies, and entire clams! I tend to love macro photography, so tend to forget to take pictures that show the entire animal...lol

Aren't they beautiful!!?? Remember, that's under NO artificial lighting! They look even more beautiful, once you get them in a tank, under our reef lighting!

The blue and white coral, I'm fairly certain, is a Goniopora, though possibly an Alveopora.

Thanks Michael for making a sharing your photo’s. Great shots!!!

Correct, the white with blue is a frag from a flowerpot. Its not for sale yet since it needs to grow a bit more.
