We need ideas for the contests we're going to have in 2012. Let's make it a year to remember. No idea is to little. We need some odd entries too!!!!!

I also liked the cell phone only pic month last year. It gives those of us without a DSLR a chance.

We did "anything goes" last year and I would like to do that one again too.

For a photo contest, how about 'hidden worlds' -- an interesting photo of something that most folks don't look at- like the tube worms growing in your overflow, or the underside of your rocks, etc etc.

How about worst aquarium picture. Most of us would have to google for bad pictures though

Or maybe strangest sound an aquarium can make

coralline is a good one. I like them all. Not sure many would be able to do the plant part though.

Instead of a "worst" tank, how about a "Most improved?" This would require 2 pictures, to show the improvement. This could be several different themes, from algae, dirty glass, changed aqua-scaping, sick fish, etc...

"Reflections"

"Most Growth" competition, again, would require 2 pictures, over a specific period of time.

"Peek A Boo" shots are always fun.

How about "Most Photoshopped" also requiring 2 photos, one Not photoshopped and then the altered version...lol. Creativity would be the main goal here...

I like the idea of a black and white photo contest!! Most of us try to get the most colorful tanks - it would be interested to see them for what they are, not their color.

+1 good idea. It puts everyone on the same level, whether you have a dslr or cell phone.
