So...as if the "Reef Geeks speak out" contest wasn't good enough as it is, we decided to ADD another prize to it!
![]() ALL threads that are submitted into the "Reef Geeks speak out" contest will be reviewed by our fabulous moderators...they will pick the top 20 threads based on content and interest...then the last week of September (9/23/10 - 9/30/10) those top 20 threads will be put up for a vote by ALL of our members! Prize: SWC150 BMK Skimmer - brand NEW to the market - by Reef Filtration!!! So make sure that YOUR threads are good threads!!! ![]() Note: winner MUST contact chris&barb withing 3 days of him notifying you that you have won...if you don't, then the prize will be offered to the next in line. ![]() The SWC150 BMK Skimmer has a footprint of 6.5x9x21". They are built very solid, able to completely come apart, nice large bubble plate, nice gate valve output, 25-28w at 650-700lph air using an atman 2500 pump with a needle wheel/mw impeller. Impeller is 90% needle, 10% mesh. It will not fray or come apart like the normal MW. Skimmer comes in at under $200 at $195. Free shipping on all pre orders. They are silent running skimmers so no need to worry about any annoying hum. For heavily stocked tanks up to 100g. Needs to run in 7-10" water level, seems to do best in 8-9. ![]()

NEW threads sweetie!
......IF the winner of the random drawing (ORP controller) just happens to have their thread voted as Septembers "thread of the month" THEN and only then can that person win both.....most likely we'll have 2 separate winners

Robert:
the thread contest (Reef Geeks speak out!) applies ONLY to NEW threads started 9/1/10 - 9/30/10.... This contest we're in now will piggy-back on the thread contest....our moderators will choose the top 20 threads from the thread contest.....THEN those threads will be entered here so that all members can vote on the "September Featured Thread"...the winner of that vote will receive Luke's skimmer ![]() Quote:
that'll be a GREAT thread too blake!

My skimmer!
This is a tough contest because we really do have some great posters that start threads with such thought provoking content. I have seen threads grow several pages on the day they are started. That's a pretty decent sign that a thread is interesting and contains good content. I look forward to reading everyone's threads and seeing which is chosen the winner for September. |
