after a week of no snails and keeping the clams separate from each other, i found another snail this morning. scrubbed last night, but nada. now before the lights came on, i checked with a flashlight and removed another bstrd from the originally infected snail. that makes a total of 9 snails. i'm keeping after it, but thought i had it caught. but NOOOOOOO!

Thats why i suggest doing this for so long. The snails you are finding now were probably really small just a few weeks ago so you missed them.

question: why are there so few? only 1 last night, and it was the first in a week, so shouldn't there be more than 1? it just seems weird.
is this correct procedure, dark at 8:30, scrub at 10:30. has enough time elapsed since lights out? cause i founf this one at 7am, before lights on, but still lit my sunrise someahat.

Ive always said a few hours after lights out but when you check them is really up to you. If you can check them in the morning thats fine and it might give the snails more time to come out.

it's a frustrating battle. not seeing any then one in a week, but i am diligent and careful. i also know i'll never see the clams up top like this again, so there is a plus side to it. well i hope i'll never have to do it again. no more freaking snail bstrds!!
