found out last night that i had to work today, so my wife said she could handle the acclimation process for me of the clam i won in the Reef-Geeks monthly photo contest. Well, i got a crazy phone call from her around 11am... It started with.. " "honey... OMG the clam arrived, and it brought a friend!"....... and I was all like "wow, holy sh@t!! ...... and then she said..."OMG"..... " i think we got the wrong box!" and I said "why, whats going on....what is it?" she said.... " the friend brought a friend also!"....... It gets better..... theres a note from Lance of Getpumedsaltwater.com enclosed.....

Incase you don't quite get it yet...... yes, I won one clam.... shipped to my front door absolutely free of charge! ( totally awesome all on its own) And 4... thats right 4 showed up, all compliments of the contest sponsor! Needless to say, my jaw is still on the floor, and it's in the shape of a giant smile!

Oh yeah, the juicy part of the note...........

".......Its been setup with Reef-Geeks that the prize was supposed to be one advertised clam, shipped along with a bonus suprise clam. But you mentioned you had your eye on the Hippo...So, I went ahead and threw in the Hippo for you....Crazy I know!....

Then decided to throw in another Maxima for good measure... haha. We hope you enjoy these clams!

I like the part of the note where Lance said "you mentioned the hippo" thats funny........
It went more like this in a pm i sent to him...."hey Lance, i saw a Hippo clam on your website, can i get that shipped in the box with my prize?" He said sure, just go to the site, pay for it, and click "in store pickup" and say its for the saltcreep order...
so i go to the website to pay for it, and it was gone. I sent another pm asking if it was gone because it was on hold for me, if so call my cell phone to get my credit card info. He never responded, now i know why!!!

hahaha..... I started to get worried for the clams... I knew you have been working crazy hrs lately and I didn't get a crazy happy email yet...

So I figured I would look around on Reef-Geeks for something, anything in-regards to this shipment...

I'm very happy for you and your family... There is nothing better then to get a bonus or two, or three once in a while.. and surprise the other half.. If I knew she was going to get the package, I would have done something a little different in the note.. "Tell him all the clams are dead" or just sent something special for her.. Ow well, next time... hahaha
