Larval ID - Reef-Geeks

Can someone help me ID this? I have several growing in my kriesel. They seem to be doing pretty good by the pics and the video. Just don't know what they are.

Yeah that's all I got too. I'm just confused with the way it curls around. Maybe hermits? who knows. These were taken out at about the same time I added the package from Saltcritters. I can't remember if it was before or after. I've been finding so much in my tank.

I know...... I have one picked out, but I just hate spending that money. It's actually not bad. $65 for a 1200x microscope with a usb camera.

Harlequin shrimp, and that's the only larva pic I was able to find that looks like the one in the video. All the others (peppermint shrimp, sexy shrimp, hermit crab) looked completely different.

That's the same thing I thought when I saw the picture matched the video O_o It could very well be a larva of something else, though, that's just the closest pic I could find that looked similar.

Can harlequin's change sex? I learned peppermints will do that.

none of the papers or articles or experts I've talked to about them have said that they do switch. They are easy to distinguish if you know what to look for, but I don't think they change.

Interested to see if Harlequin's do indeed change sex. Glen, is it possible you have one male one female, and it's just hard to tell the difference?

I add a love potion every day to my tank. It's all I can think of. Maybe it's the rods maybe it's my DIY food lol.

They are hard to tell, but I emailed a couple of people that bred them and they agreed on them being males, but hey no one is perfect!

I just looked really quick and it looks like the Harlequin larvae are dead. I'll look for a survivor tonight.
